What are the details of the tour?
The tours are conducted by the Society for
Promotion of Nature Tourism and Sports, a society under the Lakshadweep
Administration. Explore India Tour Company only books the tickets on your behaf
for a nominal fee of Rs.500/- per head inclusive of transfers from Cochin ciy
to embarkation point for the tour. The tour takes you to three of the islands.
Only the dasy are spent on the islands. The nights are spent traveling from
mainland to the islands and from one islands to the other. The package includes

accommodation on the ship?
The tour is conducted on the MV Kavaratti which is
a modern, all weather ship. The accommodation is in bath-attached double rooms
with two berths one above the other. First class transport provides for beds only in dormitory-like environments. Tourist class transport is on push-back chairs

the facilities included in the tour-packages?
The package is all-inclusive. It includes
accommodation, food, sightseeing, water sports activities such as swimming,
snorkeling, kayaking and all transfers and guide facilities.

All the needs
of the islanders are met by supplies from the mainland mainly from Cochin, Calicut and Mangalore. The islands leave
no scope for shopping unless you are interested in smoked tuna fish.

The tariffs are
fixed by the Central Government and not negotiable
What are the refund policies for
cancellation of booked tours?
According to
the cancellation policies of the government, 80% refund will be given if canceled
15 or more days before the ship sails. If canceled 7-14 days before the ship
sets sail 50% will be deducted. No refund if the trip is cancelled less than
six days before the ship sets sails. There will be no refund of booking fee of
Rs.1000/- paid to Explore India Tour Company. |
